In 2024, I revisited "Sleep Smarter," a book I had initially read in 2023 but whose details had slipped from my memory. one of my 2024 goals is to enhance my sleep quality and reduce nighttime wakings. Upon rereading, I found the book's content familiar, offering no novel insights beyond my existing knowledge. this doesn't mean the book is not good. it means I knew of its information. It delves into sleep research and the role of hormones, discussing various factors that influence sleep quality. it suggests methods for improvement. the next part could be my bias. there was some new information in the book. However, I was skeptical about certain sections of the book, which seemed to veer towards pseudoscience. It mentions individuals benefiting from specific supplements, unique massages, activities, or the use of certain machines to achieve remarkable sleep improvements.
